Permanent Hair Reduction with IPL

IPL is a fast and effective treatment to permanently reduce unwanted hair from the face, underarms, body, bikini line, chest, back and legs and we are delighted to be able to offer it to our Geelong clients. Hair removal with an IPL machine is superior and quick due to the large and effective treatment head and our highly trained technicians, making treatment very brief and more comfortable.

You will see results after the first treatment, as 30% of hair in the growth stage that is treated will not grow back at all. The remainder may be lighter and thinner when it does grow back. Approximately 4 - 6 treatments are likely, but your skin and hair type will determine the final treatment plan. Your Geelong Ren Skin Health clinician will discuss this with you during your initial consultation for IPL hair removal.

IPL Photo Facial Rejuvenation

Intense Pulsed Light technology uses light to penetrate and heat the tissue beneath the skin, destroying damaged cells while leaving healthy cells intact. Pulsed Light Photo Facial is a non invasive skin health and restoration treatment. IPL technology corrects a variety of skin conditions:

  • Sun damage
  • Ageing
  • Redness
  • Rosacea

IPL offers a safe, non-invasive solution that can be tailored to your individual condition and skin type, for smooth textured, even coloured skin.

Pigmented Lesion Modification with IPL

Intense Pulsed Light will remove pigmentation caused by sun damage such as brown patches (lesions), freckles on faces, décolletage, back of hands, forearms that have developed over the years due to exposure from the sun.

The treatment releases precisely controlled strong pulses of filtered light that are absorbed by the melanin in freckles, sun spots or liver spots. A series of IPL treatments will significantly reduce unwanted pigmentation.

IPL and Visible Facial Vascular Reduction

The face has an extensive network of veins and tiny blood vessels called capillaries. Time, ageing, trauma, sun exposure and certain lifestyle factors cause a number of them to break.

IPL technology can help eliminate damaged veins and capillaries by helping to remove all traces of these blemishes. IPL can also successfully treat dilated blood vessels without injuring the surrounding healthy skin.

What is Diamond Light IPL?

Diamond Intense Pulsed Light IPL technology is a treatment breakthrough that can correct a variety of benign skin conditions such as facial skin imperfections, the signs of photo-aging, pigmentation, unsightly small veins and other blemishes. It offers safe non-invasive solutions that can be tailored to your individual condition and skin type, providing superior cosmetic results and outstanding satisfaction through PHOTO REJUVENATION.

How does IPL work?

A cold gel is usually applied to the area to be treated and you will be given dark glasses to protect your eyes from the bright light. The smooth glass surface of the IPL hand piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are applied.

How does and IPL treatment feel?

You may feel a slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band.

Are there any side effects?

The appearance directly after the treatment is similar to what you will see after a good exercise workout. The flushing and redness will last from a few minutes to several hours after treatment. If your skin is quite loose you may experience some swelling. The brown age spots and uneven pigmentation will turn slightly darker after treatment.

How long will an IPL Treatment last?

Each IPL treatment takes about twenty minutes depending on the number of conditions and severity of individual problems. You will be able to return to work the same day and resume all daily activities. 4 - 6 sessions may be recommended, dividing the IPL treatment program provides a gradual improvement with very low risk and keeps the downtime minimised.
